Avoiding Double-Bookings in Dubsado: The One Setting You Don't Want to Miss

If you're using Dubsado to manage your bookings and have run into unexpected double-bookings or gaps in your availability, you're definitely not alone. This is a super common issue we hear from clients, and luckily, the fix is quick and easy.
What's Going On?
You’ve synced your calendar to Dubsado (great start!), but if you’re still seeing:
Booked meetings not showing up in your external calendar, or
Clients booking over times you already have blocked off...
...it likely means your calendar settings are only doing half the job.
The Fix: Import and Export
When you connect your calendar to Dubsado, it’s essential to set it to both IMPORT and EXPORT events.
Importing pulls in events from your external calendar into Dubsado so the system knows when you're unavailable.
Exporting sends appointments booked through Dubsado back to your external calendar (like Google Calendar) so everything stays in sync.
If you're only importing, Dubsado will show your busy times—but your calendar won't reflect what’s been booked through Dubsado.
How to Update Your Settings:
Head to your Dubsado Dashboard
Go to Calendar > Calendar Settings
Click on your connected calendar and make sure both IMPORT and EXPORT are selected
Once that’s in place, you’ll prevent double-bookings, see all appointments in one place, and keep your schedule running smoothly.

Final Tip:
After adjusting your sync settings, it’s a good idea to do a quick test—book a mock appointment and confirm it shows up in both Dubsado and your external calendar.
